Amalia Cottages

To Rent Cottages Greece, Corfu, Agios Gordis

The beach of Agios Gordis is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque on the west coast of Corfu. Amalia cottages are just a stroll to this beautiful long sandy beach.
The big sweeping, sandy bay has something to offer everyone. The safe swimming makes it family-friendly whilst the centre of the beach has enough activities to occupy teenagers and couples.
Amalia cottages are in high demand due to their fabulous location that is just 100 metres to the beach. The 2 semi-detached and 1 detached cottage are almost identical and have spacious garden areas. The semi-detached cottages have a solid gate and wall between the gardens offering a good level of privacy, yet the gate can be unlocked and left open if both cottages are booked for 1 large group. Adding the 3rd cottage to your booking gives you accommodation for a total of 16 people in your private grounds. Amalia cottages are neat and well maintained. They all have one double bedroom and one twin bedroom (2 single beds) each. The kitchens are very well equipped and adjoin the dining areas (in the semi-detached cottage) where there is TV/DVD players. The detached cottage has a small sitting area with TV/DVD player and a separate kitchen. Each cottage has a full bathroom with shower WC. From the pretty garden terraces, there are partial sea views. The sofa beds in the dining or sitting areas are suitable for a 5th person.
Free WIFI internet and air-conditioning. Cots & highchairs are available, on request, at no extra charge.
 5th bed @ 5 Euros per night.
Please ask us for competitive transfer and car hire rates!
Flexible arrival days except for Sunday bookings not accepted.

Key Info

English & Greek
The beach at Agios Gordis is long and sandy and has a stunning backdrop of impressive rock formations that seem to drop into the sea. There is always space on Agios Gordis, even in high season and the beach has the added plus of a village atmosphere making it an ideal location for a family holiday. The majority of accommodations are small Greek homes, apartments and studios and houses set within their own neat gardens and all just a few minutes walk from the beach where some water sports are available. There is an excellent choice of eateries both on the beach and within the winding lanes that lead up into the villages of Sinarades and Kato Garouna. There is a local bus service from Agios Gordis to Corfu Town and a taxi rank. If you take advantage of car hire you can reach the famous Achillion Palace in just 20 minutes or explore nearby beaches like Glyfada or the more remote ones near to Halikounas. There is a municipal car park, that charge a small daily fee, otherwise there is some street parking.

Very easy to not leave the apartment as if offers privacy and a quiet spot to relax but the beach was glorious and lots of good food was eaten in our 7 days in the beach front tavernas.

Fabulous and relaxing holiday !

Date of stay: 30 June 2014

Just returned from a fabulous week in this villa. The accommodation and fantastic location were exactly as described with both the inside and outside space exceeding our expectations! Kitchen area is a little small if you want to cater for yourselves but as we were only intending to eat out every night, this wasn't an issue! Service and friendliness from Meander travel was excellent and we're fully intending to return next year!

Perfect Little House At Wonderful Location

Date of stay: 10 October 2014

This was the second time we stayed a week at Amalia, Agios Gordios. The house is really charming, surrounded by fruit trees, clean and has a nice garden/terras that is enclosed. The owners are very kind and helpful and it only take 1 minute to get to the beach. The sea is beautiful clear and calm. we can very much recommend the sunset at Agios Gordios, just lying on the free sunbeds, sitting in the sand or enjoying dinner or a drink at one of the nice beach taveernas. If you want you can have some nice walks in the area, up the hill via a steep path through the woods of to a ship wreck on the beach. Our boys (4 & 6) were very exited. we will visit Amali again for sure.

We wanted to be close to the beach and this was pretty much as close as you can get. Not even 3 minutes walk and you are on the sand!

To Meander Travel, I just wanted to write a quick message to thank you so much for our holiday in Corfu. We had a fantastic time and your organisation and assistance made everything so much easier. From meeting us at the airport, to having the baby bed already set up when we arrived at the apartment, to helping us with the hire car, the service you provided was excellent and made our holiday extremely relaxing and enjoyable. We're already thinking about coming back next year,

Hello Meander Team, We have thoroughly enjoyed staying in Amalia 2 once again and are very sad to be going home today. Thank you for arranging our taxi to the airport. We will be reserving the same apartment again for 2 weeks next year. Knowing we can return makes leaving a little easier!

A very nice and suitable cottage (Amalia 1) for our holiday in Agios Gordios, we were 3 adults and 2 children of 4 years old, 3 minutes walk to the beach (well equipped and with all the services you need), 5 minutes walk to main street with markets and other shops. The cottage has a beautiful external living area were you can eat and children fun and run without worries! Kitchen well equipped and the owner Dimitris very nice and kind with us. We stay there for 2 weeks and they clean the cottage and change towels twice per week. Recommended!

Great Cottages

Date of stay: 18 June 0007
Hi guys. Just a note to say thanks for organising and helping us during our two weeks at Agios Gordis. We had a fabulous time and want to book again for next year. The Cottages were perfect, the taxi arrangements 100% - and your help getting me a doctor first class. It is my number one priority for next year. It is a wonderful spot. Thanks once again.

What a great find!

Date of stay: 20 June 2018

We have just returned from a week in Amalia 3 and were very happy there. We are a family of 4, with 2 teenagers and Amalia 3 was plenty big enough for us. We loved having so much outside space and spent most of our evenings sitting outside in the comfortable chairs around the generous sized dining table. It was lovely to be so close to both the beach and the shops. The best thing of all for us was how quiet it was, particularly at night and early in the mornings. We have stayed in 3 other places in Aghios Gordios and all of them had some noise disturbance, but Amalia was blissfully quiet. We also enjoyed having efficient air conditioning and mosquito screens on the windows. The wifi was good too. All of the communications and arrangements with Meander Travel went smoothly, so we would definitely book with them again. We hope to return within the next few years.

Wonderful Location!

Date of stay: 20 August 2019

Wonderful location, very near to the beach. Amalia cottage is a lovely cottage and we had a big garden and peace and quiet. We didn't do any cooking and the kitchen was adequate. Plenty of hot water and the bathroom was bigger than what we usually find in Greece. Great water pressure also. The cottage and garden was clean and tidy.
