Location Description: The area of Perama is small but has great facilities, a mini market, and some very good tavernas. The beach is small and reached by steps from the main road. There is a regular bus service into Corfu Town (20 minutes) or to neighbouring Benitses (5 minutes). Also, the long-distance bus (Green Bus) passes through Perama to Messonghi and onto Kavos. Benitses has excellent facilities and a larger beach. The historical village of Gastouri is just a 5-minute drive away where you can find the Achilleion Palace, a traditional taverna, an excellent bakery, and some lovely walks through this very beautiful village.
